What happened
A pharmacist family that was previously deported from Kiruna has been allowed to return to Sweden. Migrationsverket has changed its previous decision regarding the family. The family is now back in Kiruna.

The fact that a working family is first deported and then allowed to return demonstrates the uncertainty that many new Swedes live under when encountering Swedish migration bureaucracy. When people who sustain vital local services are forced to leave the country, it hits both the individual and the local community hard. The question regular reporting rarely asks is how many do not get their decisions reviewed when the authorities make mistakes.
