Student injured with an implement at school in Växjö – investigated as attempted murder

What happened

A girl has been taken to hospital after being injured with an implement outdoors at Fagrabäckskolan in Växjö. According to the police, the incident occurred during a PE lesson and is being investigated as suspected attempted murder. A boy, who also attends the school, was found just outside the school grounds and taken to the police station. Region Kronoberg states that the girl's injuries are minor and not life-threatening. Växjö Municipality has suspended classes for the rest of the day and deployed staff and student health services to support the students.
